CHALLENGE

Despite our extensive experience with e-commerce projects, this one presented unique challenges. The platform had to seamlessly serve multiple user types while ensuring smooth interactions between them.

Additionally, Webflow’s built-in e-commerce features are limited. Implementing essential functionalities such as a wishlist, user accounts, and an advanced shopping cart demanded custom solutions and creative workarounds to push Webflow’s capabilities.

The marketplace not only highlights unique, hard-to-find brands but also fosters a sense of community where buyers and sellers can easily connect. The user interface has been designed to be sleek and contemporary, with clear visuals and smooth transitions, all while maintaining the exclusivity of the brands featured.

WEBFLOW DEVELOPMENT

The development process began with a pre-made design, ensuring quick turnaround times and consistency throughout the project. This approach allowed us to focus on fine-tuning functionality while maintaining the integrity of the design.

The core objective was to evaluate Webflow’s capabilities to meet the diverse needs of an e-commerce platform. Through careful testing and integration, we leveraged Webflow’s flexibility.

Content management system

Webflow’s e-commerce CMS stands out with its intuitive interface and powerful functionality, closely resembling the regular CMS but with specialized features tailored to e-commerce. One of the key advantages is the ability to create product variants such as color, size, and other customizable options.

Webflow automatically generates a table for managing product variants, tracking quantity, setting pricing (including discounts), and defining additional parameters like SKUs or product categories. The CMS also offers dynamic content management, allowing products to be easily organized into categories, filtered by attributes, and displayed in a highly customizable layout.

User profile & wishlist

Webflow E-commerce doesn’t offer built-in user profiles or a wishlist feature, but we overcame this limitation by integrating Wized with a database solution like Airtable. This integration allowed us to create a custom user experience where customers can save their favorite products and manage personal profiles.
