MEET THE LEADERSHIP
OTAKOYI ROADMAP
In a hot June of 2011, Serhiy Lavrynenko and Volodymyr Hodiak decided to start a software development company and invited three like-minded colleagues to join the journey.
Moved into our first office, a creative space that marked a shift from startup to studio. That same year, OTAKOYI landed its first international client, signaling the beginning of a global journey.
Our CEO, Serhiy Lavrynenko, won the Ukrainian IT Award for Best Project Management Professional.
Expanded our client base across the US, Sweden, Netherlands, Poland, and Dubai. Moved into a larger office and became official consultants for the EBRD.
COVID accelerated our shift to a fully remote company, enabling us to hire talent across Ukraine and beyond. We also entered the Japanese market with a localized website.
Celebrated 10 years of impact and launched Solvemind, our US-based brand focused on AI technologies.
Despite the full-scale russian invasion, we reached 100+ team members and launched our Polish legal entity. Resilience fueled growth.
Recognized as official Flutter consultants, reinforcing our expertise in cross-platform mobile development.
Became a certified Webflow partner, adding powerful new tools to our creative arsenal.
Launched our UAE entity and unveiled a new design division, reflecting our design-first mindset and global ambitions.
WHAT DOES OTAKOYI MEAN?
[o t a k ó j i :] You might be thinking, “Is it Japanese?” — but think again! OTAKOYI is actually a vibrant Ukrainian word used to express surprise and excitement.
In Ukrainian, it’s written as ОТАКОЇ. What makes it truly special is the letter Ї — a unique character in the Ukrainian alphabet. Today, this letter has become a powerful symbol of Ukrainian identity and freedom, often seen in graffiti, fashion, and art as a bold statement of independence.
THREE DIVISIONS. ONE SUCCESS STORY.
The OTAKOYI ecosystem is a synergy of three specialized branches united by one mission: empower businesses through technology, creativity, and intelligence.
OTAKOYI SOCIAL IMPACT
Each year, OTAKOYI employees participate in a charity initiative for St. Nicholas Day, choosing letters from children in need — now often from displaced families or those in frontline areas. Together, we work to fulfill these children's wish lists by purchasing warm clothes, books, school supplies, toys, and, at times, making their unique dreams come true.
At the onset of the full-scale invasion, part of our office was converted into a temporary shelter for volunteers, displaced families, and employees from eastern regions cities. We set up sleeping areas, showers, and provided essential supplies. Over time, our open space evolved into a full-fledged humanitarian hub in partnership with the 4Ukraine foundation.
Throughout the years of the full-scale war, we’ve organized fundraising and volunteer events to support Ukraine’s defenders. These efforts included charity auctions, a drone assembly workshop with HERO7 LAB, first aid training sessions, creative masterclasses, and crafting camouflage nets with the "Porokhova Vezha" community. The funds raised were donated to organizations like Help a Hero or used to support our mobilized team members serving in the Armed Forces.
As part of a charitable project by the Lviv City Council, we donated funds and earned the honor of planting a personalized tree in the heart of the city — a small but meaningful symbol of rooting for the future.
